A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US

We are a relatively small group (80-100) that meets in a small building just south of Fort Wayne (1 mile west of Yoder). Kind of a 'country church with an edge.' We are very casual, and a nursery is provided for our Sunday morning services. Our worship involves several instruments (guitars, drums, etc.), and we play anything from the newest to the oldest - some of it church music, some not. We believe it's not the kind of music that's important, it's the way it's done and who it's about.

We are affiliated with the Churches of God, General Conference out of Findlay, Ohio. The mission of the CGGC is to honor God by communicating the truth of Jesus in a way that people respond in faith and continue to grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

In a casual atmosphere, with a realistic outlook, we attempt honest worship, practical bible teaching and the building of authentic relationships - so God might be glorified and people might come to find hope and a home in Him.

OUR VISION -

We believe we are all on a journey of faith. Fairview is a group of regular people trying our best to walk with God, in hopes that we might help others connect with Him too. Our particular church exists mainly for people who are unfamiliar with church, or are uncomfortable with the 'traditional' church setting. We are not about religion, but about a relationship with Jesus.

We have gatherings on Sunday mornings so we can worship God, encourage one another, and learn about how Jesus and the Bible can impact our lives. These gatherings are very casual and low-key. Everyone is welcome, and we encourage you to bring your friends.

When you reach a point where you want to go deeper on your spiritual journey, we offer various Life Impact Groups -- some on Sunday morning and some during the week. We will also have occasional classes and other get-together's for fellowship, training, and more intense discipleship (learning to follow Jesus) and Bible Study.

Should you wish to become a Partner in our ministry, we offer church membership. Church membership requires a higher level of expectation in regards to attendance, service, giving, and involvement in a learning group. The benefit to church membership is: being an active partner in ministry; being an owner of Fairview; being able to participate in the internal affairs and decisions made in our church community; and it opens the door for various leadership roles.

Our goal is to be people who live by faith, are known by our love towards God and one another, and who can offer a voice of hope in the world - so we can help other regular people connect with God and grow in their relationship with Jesus too.
